11th Grade Checklist
- Visit with your counselor for your Plan for College and Career Readiness meeting
- Continue with community service and leadership positions
- Log your service hours with the Career Center to work towards earning a letter in service
- Plan and lead a community service project
- Keep your GPA up
- Take the YouScience Aptitude test
- Take classes that help you explore your interests
- Bi-weekly, look for upcoming scholarship opportunities on our Scholarship Page
- Talk with your parents about your college plans and finances
- Take the PSAT test in the fall to enter the National Merit Scholarship Competition (see Mrs. Neilson for more information)
- Complete the FAFSA4Caster at https://studentaid.gov/aid-estimator/
- Attend the Junior Higher Education College Tour in the Spring
- Talk to college admissions representatives about scholarship programs for which you may qualify
- Take the ACT at least once. A free state ACT is usually offered in late February/early March.
- Consider taking the June ACT. Register online at www.actstudent.org
